With immediate effect, Jürgen Baryla will head the EnOcean sales team for the EMEA region in order to further expand the company’s position as a leading supplier of self-powered solutions for the Internet of Things (IoT).

EnOcean GmbH, the world’s leading developer of energy harvesting wireless technology, has appointed Jürgen Baryla as Vice President of Sales. Baryla will be responsible for revenue and business development in the EMEA region and will also be a member of EnOcean’s Senior Management Team. His main duties will be to increase the customer base and new business opportunities for energy harvesting wireless solutions. He will also continue to support EnOcean’s existing customers as well as expand the business according to the company’s long-term growth strategy on the self-powered IoT for the core markets of building automation, smart homes, lighting control and industrial automation. Baryla will replace Andreas Schneider, who took over as CEO of EnOcean on January 1, 2017.
Jürgen Baryla has more than 25 years experience in building technology. Before joining EnOcean, he worked at Grundig Sat Systems, where he was responsible for global sales and marketing and prior to this, he was employed by Somfy GmbH as a sales manager. In addition to significantly expanding the business field “Electrical and System Business,” he was responsible for sales and performance in the identically named sales channels. In this position, he gained several years experience in the area of smart home applications. Previously, Jürgen Baryla worked for several years as a Profit Center Manager in the area of electronic security technology with the U.S-based Tyco group.
